Hello Clarisse!
Tell us a little about yourself first.
Aloha! I’m Clarisse, proud mama of two amazing kiddos: a fun 10-year-old and a brand-new bundle of joy born this May 14 (fresh out of the oven!). I’m all about beach days, picnic vibes, and chasing sunsets with my little one and my awesome friends. A certified food and coffee addict, I’m always on the hunt for new cafes — my version of adventure! When I’m not out and about, you’ll find me deep in a movie marathon or bingeing K-dramas and horror flicks (because nothing says “relaxing” like ghosts and plot twists). I’m also a big fan of “me time”, think mani-pedis, foot spas, shopping sprees (yes, I can afford it now, lol!), and sipping fancy coffee like I’m living in a rom-com. Life’s been crazy, but I’m beyond grateful — and still fabulous, tired mom hair and all!
What was your profession before you became a VA?
I’m an undergraduate of BS Accountancy — I decided to prioritize motherhood at an early age, and it’s been the most meaningful journey I’ve taken. Before transitioning into the virtual assistance field, I spent seven years working in the BPO industry under a U.S.-based healthcare account. Throughout those years, I gained extensive experience in various roles, including customer service, patient care coordination, hospice intake processing, and insurance verification. I became well-versed in handling sensitive medical and personal information, assisting patients and families with compassion, and navigating the complexities of healthcare processes. These roles strengthened my communication skills, attention to detail, adaptability, and ability to thrive under pressure — all of which I now bring to the table as a virtual assistant.
How is your IVA PRO Experience?
When I applied to IVAPRO, to be honest, I didn’t expect to get hired. The VA world is tough these days, and the competition is real. So when Ms. Kats told me the client wanted to work with me, I almost cried. I was just incredibly grateful, not only is the rate competitive, but the job also gives me more time with my family and a real shot at financial freedom. Then came the big moment, meeting my client, Kevin. I was genuinely surprised. I didn’t expect to have such a kind, understanding, and chill boss, and the whole team? Just as amazing. No micromanaging, which was a HUGE relief because let’s be real, that stuff is exhausting and kills the vibe. With IVA and the ARH family, it truly feels like you’re working with people, not for them. They genuinely care about their VAs. As long as you’re doing your job, they’ve got your back. You can manage your time, work when you're most productive, and if you need time off? No need for a novela-length explanation, just get it approved and you're good. It honestly feels like I landed my dream setup, work-life balance, great people, and a job that makes sense for me.

I’m incredibly grateful for being matched with a kind and understanding client, truly more than I could have hoped for. Because of this opportunity, I get to be a hands-on mom while earning a stable income, all without sacrificing precious time with my kids. It’s a blessing to be able to grow professionally while still being present for the people who matter most.
Any message to future aspiring VA’s?
To all future VAs, just go for it! I didn’t expect to get hired, but here I am, working with an amazing client, earning well, and spending more time with my kids. You can be a hands-on mom and still build a great career. You got this!
